This is one of the reasons I got residential solar. Financially it ended up working out as a way of "locking in" electricity rates to my loan repayment.

Even if my payback period isn't great (20 years) I benefit by not worrying about the increase in electricity rates.

I've started writing an agentic thing for work and a nice trick I've noticed is that the accessibility representation of the DOM is _way_ better than the "full dom" for LLMs.

There's a positive world where folks make their site accessible to benefit LLMs and side effect it's better for people too

Either China figures out how to commoditize the LLM tech space in which case sovereign AI doesn't matter, or leading labs will always have the edge and Canada won't be able to compete if they don't partner with the big players.

Apple Arcade games mostly solve this. No in-app purchase shenanigans, no ads. Totally worth it for us.

Have you used Sora 2 app yet? I got access last night.

Not a flex or anything, but using the actual app feels qualitatively different and better than competition.

Dedicated app + focus on friends + cameo feature together combine to something quite cool.

Woman are better at multitasking and keeping context on parallel threads simultaneously. It’s entirely possible that coding becomes dominated by women in the next 5-10 years. Would be great to see!

And the employee is trapped in US for the foreseeable future.

If a parent or sibling or something in their home country gets sick or is going to die then employee needs to choose between saying goodbye in person, or losing their job.

I'm at 95% of my code, closing in on 99% written by AI.

The last 1-5% are things I know are one line-ish changes that would take more time to write a prompt than just make the change myself.

The whole article is gold! Laughed out loud for real 5 or 6 times.

You’re right. All residential streets should be 30.

Lower speed limits are not “arbitrary”.

They are safer speed limits. They are the difference between life and death.
