Also did we really need that beginning, sure it was fun but that time could have been used for something else better. Also some of the character like the bartender and Trev could easily have been cut out and it wouldn’t affect the story that much. The hotel manager could have taken trav role.

The pacing wasn’t great as well, I felt it went too quickly and joy was severely unutilised in what meant to be her own episode which make me didn’t connect with her story. Will say Moffat still hasn’t lose his touch to writing the doctor. Overall I prefer boom.

They were such a great companion and if this help, they do get a great exit.
