Supposed to fly to the US today to see my family, my grandchildren, but thanks to the chaos and uncertainty surrounding social security, we are afraid to spend any money, and canceled our trip. We are beyond heartbroken. Not to mention my German husband is nervous about his accent in the South.

Repubs got sooo played. Even the Orange Turd now admits it is hard to bring grocery prices down. Makes it even sadder that their blatant stupidity will hurt so many.

The US health system is exactly why I don't get to be close to my grandchildren and watch them grow. Luckily married to a German and not in the US. He needed experimental meds to survive cancer. US insurance companies would deny anything experimental. What, should he die if the cancer returned?

I have been unable to sleep since the election. Afraid of losing my Social Security, afraid for the future for my grandchildren, and afraid for everyone of color, the LHBTQ community, and every marginalized person in America. It's a rough road ahead.

Ok, just gonna put it out there. The reason, IMHO, that SA is so rampant and unchecked, is because for decades we were all shamed into not talking about it. A friend said she was told not to discuss HER shame. Why is this OUR shame, not that of the perpetrator???
