Exactly. The Hall doesn’t want them in, but they also don’t want to be held directly responsible for keeping them out (perhaps to avoid a lawsuit since they’re not on the ineligible list?).

The HoF keeps coming up with ways to pass the buck to others in a way that will keep those two (and the others) out. Shortening from 15 yrs to 10 was obviously aimed at them, as were the new rules about VC eligibility (not to mention who they put on the committee).

This feels like a pretext to close a bunch of parks for commercial/industrial development because the foreign visitors don't want to pay the overcharge and the American well has dried up due to the president* crashing the economy and making vacations for the hoi polloi unaffordable.

I’ll take chocolate bourbon pecan pie over pumpkin every day of the week, but apple and berry pies are superior to both.
