I called my caseworker at HUD today and she said they don't anticipate our assistance stopping and they're aware of the situation. I hope she's correct. What about SSI, though? That's administered via the SSA.

My family is on Supplementary Security Income, Medicaid and HUD, my mother (who just lost her husband) is on SS/Medicare. We're not going to make it.

Where do those who live on under $1000/month shop? We cannot all get food boxes and where I'm from, it's usually rotting. I try to buy second hand, but that takes time to find. Many disabled people can't take that time to search. If I need furniture, thrift stores won't deliver. What do we do?

Marlene had every opportunity to tell Ellie exactly what was going to occur and Ellie being the intelligent individual she is could have made her own decision. However, I think Marlene would ultimately have forced Ellie to go through with it. Both Joel and Marlene took away Ellies ability to chose.
