My experience of Microsoft's documentation: The information is there and pretty well written. Finding it, though, is always the issue. Not even Bing can did through that mess and come out with something useful.

I'm a fan of talking about them as excellent liars (which is basically the same vein. They are rest at convincing us that they "know" something.whether they do is neither here nor there.

By what metric? Speed to delivery? That's not the current issue faced by leading AI companies. Money and resources are the main constraints. Not to mention the fact that it's seemingly more and more likely that any additional significant progress would require a non-LLM solution.

The ebooks are mostly still under DRM policies though, so you're stuck with their app or website... that's unfortunate.

You're not wrong. Honestly, I'm not in favor of the law or ban. I would rather see privacy legislation in it's place. That said, it seems like a half truth to fully blame a dumb situation on the executive branch when the opposing party sponsored and contributed to passing the law to begin with.

And...it passed the House 352 - 65 with only 15 Republicans voting against the bill. Similarly the Republican controlled Senate passed it 79 - 18. Both votes exceeding the 2/3 majority required to overturn a presidential veto even if he had chosen to do so.

I wonder how much of this is people loving vs hating what they do? If you are the type who loves your work, it generally means that you are surrounded with people who think and enjoy similar things to you. If you hate what you do...it's kinda a crap shoot.
