Icing a Rose 3, Acrylic

Exploring palette knife painting has been an immensely gratifying endeavor, particularly following an in-depth study of the masters' techniques at the Smithsonian. This collection of flower paintings is a direct result of that inspiring experience. The final piece is here.

Trying my hand at palette knife painting has been incredibly rewarding, especially after closely studying the masters' strokes at the Smithsonian. This new set of flower paintings was inspired by that experience. Here's the last of three pieces.

Desk is assembled and mostly refit. I'll start painting again tonight. I have a great idea for a rose in a small canvas.

New Art Desk

Got the table top done. Need to assemble the standing desk mechanism next. As soon as I get this sucker finished, I can paint some more. It's a beautifully blonde 3/4" plywood. I oiled and waxed it. It's shining and beautiful now. It will gain character with paint dripped on it.
