Am I calling for Celtic, Scotland (or Ireland) to be banned? I thought Jonathan Liew’s sharing of his experiences very considerate., but after reading Liew’s Guardian piece, he allowed his own prejudices to come to fore. I hope his polemic was as embarrassing for you as Celtic fans are to me.

Thank you for your response, and you will be only too aware of where I am coming from. I am not naive enough to believe politics and sport are unrelated – as a Celtic fan, with family members who served and died in defence of Britain, I am embarrassed of our supporters.
