£7,780 for an annual season ticket from Didcot to the London Travelcard area doesn't represent value for money for my constituents.

Yesterday, I challenged the Secretary of State on this. It's time for affordable rail fares. 🚄

Yesterday, I spoke to ITV about the Government’s mixed messages on special educational needs provision, which is doing nothing to fix a system that is already failing families.

The Government must provide SEND families with the certainty and clarity they've been waiting for.

A consistent source of frustration for constituents is the fact that health, transport and leisure facilities simply are not keeping up with rapid housing growth.

Last week, I challenged the Secretary of State for Transport on this. Our communities deserve more than just houses.

I’m delighted to say that Hannah Griffin has been elected to the Vale of White Horse District Council! 🥳

She’ll be a fantastic councillor for the people and businesses of Ridgeway ward as someone firmly rooted in her community.

Pleased to announce that I've been elected as President of Liberal Democrats for Electoral Reform.

Excited to continue the work that @sarahjolney1 has already done in her role. It's time for progress on issues such as votes at 16, voter ID & wider electoral reform.

Last week, I joined @wendychambld.bsky.social and colleagues in writing to the Home Secretary, urging the Government to provide long-term certainty for Ukrainians in the UK.

We must continue to back Ukraine’s reconstruction, whilst supporting those who have built their lives here.

After many discussions with the Minister for Sport, Tourism, Civil Society and Youth, Stephanie Peacock has confirmed the Government’s commitment to funding local sporting facilities.

Access to sport and leisure spaces is vital for communities nationwide, and must be supported and funded.

Many constituents added their names to the e-petition asking the Government to ensure statutory maternity and paternity pay matches the National Living Wage.

Last week in Parliament, I spoke up for higher statutory payments, as the current levels don’t give new parents the support they need.

With cycling being my main mode of transport across the constituency and beyond, I know first-hand the dangers of headlight glare.

The Government must update its road safety strategy to include vehicle lighting. It’s time to make our roads safer for everyone.

Yesterday, I led a debate on the Government’s proposed cuts to the IB. These cuts would have a real impact on students and their families in my constituency, and I made sure to share my constituents' concerns in Parliament.

I’ve heard from many learners, instructors & families anxious about long waits for driving tests.

After raising this with the Future of Roads Minister, I have been told DVSA will add 10,000 extra tests a month & recruit 450 new examiners.

I’ll be keeping an eye on progress.

... children and education sector workers who feel the very real anxiety about the Government's previous comments on SEND reforms - and then the delay announced last week.

With the budget fast approaching, clarity on reforms and funding is urgently needed, and I will continue to push for this.

Today at PMQ's, I challenged the Prime Minister on SEND reform delays, asking him what he has to say to parents and education workers who are desperately worried by his government’s decision to delay SEND reforms until 2026.

The response was non-committal, lacking empathy for the parents, ...

Last Friday, it was great to visit the Thames Travel bus depot in Didcot, opening their refurbished Didcot depot.

Access to convenient, frequent and affordable buses is vital for employment and quality of life, particularly in rural areas.

There are many unanswered questions about the Heathrow Third Runway. That's why, yesterday, I challenged the Secretary of State for Transport on her support for it.

Last Friday, I had the privilege of visiting Fitzwaryn School, which is the only special school in Didcot and Wantage constituency.

I will continue to press for more special schools, along with more funding, so that we can better support young people with special educational needs.

Getting the GP surgery built currently seems to be stuck somewhere between the Integrated Care Board and NHS England.

I will continue to fight for this desperately needed GP surgery, which will be crucial for reducing the enormous pressure on existing facilities in the area.

This morning, I secured a commitment from the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to help unblock the GP surgery in Great Western Park.

Constituents in and around Didcot desperately need the new GP surgery, which was promised back in 2008, yet still remains a barren patch of land.

In my new role as Transport Spokesperson, earlier this week I spoke about the Lib Dem amendments to the Sustainable Aviation Fuel bill.

Making aviation sustainable will require the Government to go beyond securing investment - ensuring measures complement investment in zero-carbon flight tech.

I spoke in a Westminster Hall debate this week on returning international rail services to Ashford in Kent.

In France, the high-speed line to Paris transformed Lille's economy. Here at home, we are yet to benefit in the same way. But this can still happen.

I had the privilege of opening the new visitor centre on Culham Campus, which coincided with its 60th anniversary as a science campus, marking the culmination of a four-year £184 million campus transformation programme.

It's a fantastic new building and one that the community will greatly enjoy.
