Barry seems in a good state, considering and was also talking about workubgvat the Chalemie summer school and getting another edition of zannizine out. As Joan's carers no longer visit, drop Barry a phone call or a visit if in London.

A phone call from Barry Grantham a few minutes ago, letting me know that his work and life partner, his beloved Joan Grantham had passed on, peacefully in her sleep.
There will be an afternoon of tea, cake, music and as a celebration of Joan's life at some point in the near future.

In Sardinia, Alghero to be precise: weather nice, food good, hotel beds and breakfasts pleasant, plenty of stuff to see and do on holiday.

Over a £100 softback on the publishers website ! £160 ,on abebooks..loud sigh, a mere £60 in Bezos world. But for a commedia dell'arte completist I just gotta ... smaller sigh. I'll report back when I've read it .. hopefully soon...

Part of current "work" involves playing D&D with neurodivergent kids ... excited to have found a book that talks about role play as' aesthetic distance' and a way of rehearsing non-divergent social interactions. Nice stuff .. but kinda got to wean them off killing everything in sight first ..
