Not that I’ve been active the past few days, I’ve been trying very hard to step away from social media this weekend and it’s been quite nice actually

I couldn’t stay that long but I had a great time debating with the other people there on whose signature we think we got on our albums 😂 (pretty confident I got yunho’s!)

I have to listen to the album a few more times for suuuure I only had time for one listen lol

I went to one of the pop up events today and the album photos were SOOO nice. Still haven’t picked a favorite song yet though, they’re all bangers

But over time he’d learn to relax a little, that he didn’t need to be so proper, he just needed to be polite (and not a total mess)

But when he started over, I think he forced himself into learning to be more civilized at the table to appear more put together. For a long time it probably looked a little TOO formal, as he tried to overcompensate and blend in a little too hard.

In the case of my guardian project, the animal almost always comes first. It impacts their whole life and personality, and it’s made it a lot more challenging in a fun way to create new OCs.

Koa is based on a sunburst hognose snake, and his entire design and original personality were based on it. From
The shape of his bangs to his color scheme, it was all very intentional. He’s what sparked the idea for the project as a whole and as a result I had a very similar process for Elio.

That being said, my guardian project OCs (Koa and Elio below) were very different. Koa was created because I have a love of snakes and wanted to create a character based on one after realizing I hadn’t done that yet.

When I’m creating a character for an existing world, I start by thinking about where they fall into place in relation to the setting and my existing OCs within that space. I will still start with outfit design, but I may already have a general idea of personality/role going in in that situation.

Once I have the look nailed down, it helps me figure out personality. I spend a LOT of my creation process basically daydreaming? I spend a lot of time thinking about the character and what their world is like and from there it tends to turn into me info dumping and sketching them endlessly.
