Shadow and Flame
Most of the time I do ultraviolet blue and purple but UV yellow and orange make for some amazing fire. The balrog blazes up like what was in the movie.

I drew this one on 11x17, black, orange, neon orange, and neon yellow prismacolors.

Bounce Light
I bought some UV markers to do bounce light like this. The marker doesn't show up at all under normal light, and it can be feathered easily before it dries, giving you this effect under UV light. This lets you hide stuff in your drawings, too.

Too much contrast on this scan, it's an older drawing but a good example of how you can do fine scales with mechanical pencil crosshatch over the highlights. You don't need a lot, just enough to create the impression.

That blooming glow is just little cutout pieces of high brightness printer paper under a 365nm UV beam. This is just a phone camera shot so the resolution isn't great.

But the trick is so damn easy anyone could do it.

Without undo, you need a good eraser. This was a methodical erase and replace, starting with orange, then paving over it with onyx. Good pencils and good paper help, and now I can do some interesting animated mosaic transitions.
