another old fave: my piece for the bitter x sweet wlw art zine! shoehorning catgirls into a reclamation of lesbian pulp novels!! what else is there to say!!!
a hybrid traditional and digital illustration, in the style of a midcentury lesbian pulp novel cover. two catgirls sprawl on the ground of an alleyway. the smaller femme throws her arms around her butch's neck and looks back smugly at the camera. the first two fingernails of her right hand are trimmed short. she wears a sheer lace teddy, a large bow around her neck, and her short hair and fluffy tail are periwinkle. the butch has long, messy dark red hair, pierced cat ears, and wears a plain t-shirt, black jeans and boots, many rugged bracelets, and a fish-shaped belt buckle. her nails are all long. from the top, the text reads: "A BITTERSWEET TALE OF CATGIRLS DIVIDED BY AMBITION...", then in bright yellow, the title: "BEST IN SHOW." the book blurb below says: "She finally has the pedigree lifestyle she always dreamed of... ...but can she give up her alleycat past?" at the bottom of the cover there is a small serial number, and a price tag listing the "book" for 55 cents
