i like old books, film photography and rambling about random stuff
I bought a paperback from 1943 (The Saint Overboard) thinking I could easily fix it if it had a couple of loose pages but now that I'm actually looking at it I think the damage may be beyond my ability whoops

ill forever be disappointed that it's nearly impossible to find the curse of capistrano/the mark of zorro anywhere

like seriously, it's such a fun book and it's in the public domain! why can't i have a paper copy of it??

im rereading "meet the baron" (as one does) and id forgotten that mannering intially turns to a life of crime as a way to cope with a really bad breakup and a gambling addiction

and of course the only one that's brought up in later books is the first one, even tho the gambling played a bigger role

Why did no one tell me the Sherlock Holmes stories were so fun? I feel like I've been missing out!

Buying a book and immediately reading feels so weird sometimes... it's as if the book needs to sit on the shelf for a while before it's ready for reading

I decided to read Leslie Charteris' The Saint series because the main character is described as a Robin Hood-type thief, but uh,, maybe I didn't start by the right book because that is not quite how I would describe Simon Templar in The Saint Closes the Case lmao

the urge to do literally anything else except study on the day of an exam needs to be studied

...but not by me because I have a book to read and some laundry to do first
