Makes sense beyond ensuring the game is in the best position, even if it was the end of March, people tend to drop off when the season comes to a close - I would imagine many would have just waited for 2026 anyway

I think what Luke says about how the sites' readers don't care about sports games can often apply to writers too (not all ofc) - when that top 10 bestsellers list went round, I saw a few dismissing them as not real games, all contributing towards them not understanding EA etc main money makers.
