HCI at University Paris-Saclay, CNRS, Inria, LISN. Visualizing and interacting with astronomical data (Euclid, hypatia-vis).
Chez nous, en IHM, le multi-échelle était très à la mode, genre pan-and-zoom amélioré, et puis, smartwatches, smartphones, desktops, murs d'écrans... Et puis la VR et l'AR sont arrivées et cela a fait pchit.

I am a researcher working at Paris-Saclay University. I work on Human-Computer Interaction and visualisation. I am developing a platform for visualising astronomical data (2D images, catalogues, data cubes, and 3D rendering). I would like to share some of the resulting visualisation.

Comparing the above JWST image with a twelve-year-old image by the Hubble Space Telescope (HST PI: 13003 www.stsci.edu/hst-program-...) near-infrared 110w (green) - 160w (red).

In the second part of the video, a not catalogued (TNS) transient (supernova?) in HST.

The annotation shows three gravitationally lensed images of the same three galaxies.

What about alternative models such as the Wiltshire timescape cosmology? Timescape "does not require" dark energy and seems convincing: iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1... and, e.g., academic.oup.com/mnras/articl....

Adding X-rays: blue: Chandra, green&red: JWST 277w&356w. X-rays match the IR and "no" radio source [Viral Parekh, MNRAS 464 3 2017], no "important" merge since ~ Gyr (?).

Procrastination with the new JWST images of macsJ0308+2645. The three cutouts at the bottom are gravitationally lensed images of the same galaxy [Ana Acebron et al 2018 ApJ 858 42]
