I think the fact Kaya hurries to get in back the dog bed after he shows distain, and his eye glance and arm twitch seconds before the yelp, combined with the fact I think the dog bed is smooth pvc pipe/ smooth wood floor ... that's too many strikes against the dew claw, mom's "baby" dog excuse.
