My latest blog for Sapientia explores the addition of the tragedy of Orpheus and Eurydice in Chloé Zhoe's film adaptation of "Hamnet."

"Look at me" becomes a refrain throughout the film, turning the myth on its head.
Chloé Zhao’s adaptation of "Hamnet" captures the grief of the Shakespeare family as they navigate the death of a child.

Early on, William recounts the tragedy of Orpheus and Eurydice to Agnes, his wife, setting the tone for the remainder of the film.

"Trump just announced that CBS will also give him $20 million in airtime, through ads and programming. Ask not what you can do for censorship — ask what censorship can do for you!"

The Met Gala brought its signature opulence to New York on Monday, May 5. As glamorous as the evening was, it’s also important not to let the spectacle obscure the fashion legacy that the corresponding Costume Institute exhibition explores.

Fordham co-sponsored a retrospective of Nurith Aviv’s work. Her film “From Language to Language” explores the dichotomy of language in Israel, examining Hebrew as a shared language that fosters a sense of belonging, but that also contributes to a double consciousness. Olivia Poust for #Sapientia.
