But like, if we’re so caught up in “wokeness” that we can’t agree a starving person should be able to eat a slice of bread that has already been allocated to them, how are we ever going to find common ground?

Not to mention, their argument is that American dollars should not be going toward LGBT+ rights/diversity support/disability inclusion. Though a lot of their information is misconstrued, it also breaks my heart that someone would not want their money going toward equity and justice! God forbid!

I try to have compassion for people struggling with misinformation and keep my anger on those in power, but it’s hard to watch them challenge someone I respect who has been DOING THE WORK and knows the pain that 500,000 tons of food aid in limbo really means.
