Competitive eating is such an interesting example. I watched Joey Chestnut eat mini donuts live and it was definitely a surreal and unreal experience

It’s crazy to me that these students will throw away their futures to rush the field for a football game. As exciting as it can be the risks outweighs the rewards

It’s crazy how well tv broadcasting works and how people can be influenced through advertisements

This is a great example, I wonder how the other teams felt and if it affected their performance levels

Politicians can use their power to negatively influence people’s decisions, especially in sport

An example of politics in sports is when Colin Kaepernick was kneeling for the national anthem, politicians were highly opposed. VP Mike Pence attended an NFL game and Donald Trump commanded him to walk out of the game if any player were to kneel.

This makes a lot of sense because I feel like if people are uncomfortable in a temperature they lose some of their inhibitions

Female athletes are doing a great job at self promoting and advocating for their sport, since the media coverage is unequal. A great example of this is Ilona Maher, an Olympic rugby player with a positive social media platform for women in sports. www.persistencepsych.com/ilona-maher-...

The Minnesota Viking have two male cheerleaders. This challenges Biological Determinism because this believes that boys have to be rougher, and cheerleading is seen as a more feminine sport. www.cbc.ca/news/world/n...
Male NFL cheerleaders aren't new. So why are people mad about the Minnesota Vikings squad? | CBC News
When the Minnesota Vikings announced their cheerleading team roster last week, they also unleashed an online uproar as two male cheerleaders danced and shook their pom-poms with the squad.

I plan to be a physiotherapist, working with athletes; this will bring me many different sport opportunities. Hopefully working as a trainer with a team. I will still make time for exercise and physical activity as well as maybe playing an adult league

For example in the flag football league in Regina they have competitive and non-competitive leagues. Sports can still be played for fun rather than competition.
