Now that I have a few years of experience under my belt, I think it's the best fit for me and my interests. I work on a very very small team, so I do every part of the UX/UI process, from research to prototyping to design to QA. The variety keeps it interesting and fun!

I got into it because I loved The Internet, and doing more problem-solving type work to improve usability was more intellectually appealing than making banner ads to sell stuff. I'm not a developer, but I have enough interest in the engineering side to want to work closely with that side of my team

I started building websites as a teen on geocities, and later went to art school for design and illustration. Kept doing digital design work, mostly for marketing, until my current employer let me transition away from the marketing side and learn on the job for UX
