Well, since this has gone more viral than expected:

In the absence of my cunning plans, here's a resource to find food banks locally. Volunteer and contribute if you can, and don't be ashamed to get help if you need it.

We're all in it together.

Ok, cool.
Thanks for sharing.
I'm not too familiar with the Rise gardens (yet?)
April 8, 2025 at 12:11 AM
Ah, did you get it as a seedling?

Yum!

What strain is that, do you know?

What is this device that you're growing them in?

Lets goooooooo!

I love those! I grow them in my soil gardens.

I think I've heard that it works, also. I can see if working for the small ones, but I'm skeptical about the big ones.

Keep us posted!

You're growing radishes hydroponically?
March 7, 2025 at 8:58 PM
They are! Two of them per plant. The one underneath has a bigger hole. I use them to keep the algae down. The top one is usually removed when it gets transferred into the farmstand. The labels next to each plant have sticky on the back, and they get used once transferred.

Patience, my friend. Patience.

the cucumber plants i have growing right now took 6 and 10 days to sprout.

I think you're on the right track with the paper towel trick.

No need to restart, just make some adjustments. You might get the seed to sprout before putting it in the bottle, and make sure to wrap the bottle so algae doesn't grow.

I'm pretty sure you will. You won't need the expensive stuff, but you'll still want a way to measure both of those.

Your post the other day inspired me to move mine from my farmstand to kratky, so i started doing some research.

This site has some good info:

Do you have a way to measure ph and EC yet?

In that big tower, I've got a couple of varieties of lettuce, some kale, spinach, green onions, and some Arugula. Lots of empty slots that need to be filed.

The buckets have cayanne in one, and jimmy nardello peppers in the other.

Let me know if you have questions. Happy to share my experience so far.

I hope to be making videos soon.
