I have made a little blue goober guy who will shoot fireballs at you in my first person melee action game. I gotta admit I'm proud of how stupid he looks.

First drawing of a melee enemy type for my first person melee action game. Taking a lot of cues from Estark from Dragon Quest IV and that OG RuneScape Dragon armor. Need to make several more frames for different viewing angles.

I mocked up a weird looking sword for my first person fantasy melee action game. The curvy offshoot blades are meant to catch projectiles, so you can throw them back at the enemy before they hit you and knock you off a ledge.
