Well, I'm not a big romance reader but the way it was written in this one was very sweet and grounded! And Mary Renault's style is really unique and interesting to read lol

i just finished rereading the charioteer by mary renault and it was pretty good! a little dry and outdated but really interesting to look at as a part of gay literary history
