Courgettes are like buses. Clearly. I've spent the spring moaning about how badly they are growing, and since the heat has come out, we're now drowning in them. No idea how many more I can eat.

This is horsetail or marestail. It's a sod of a weed and, if you get it, will spread if you turn over your soil. My best advice is just keep picking it out. Like any plant it needs sunlight and, after the second year, you'll have nearly nothing popping up. #gardening #truefact #weedoftheday

If you have left over veg and herb seeds why not just mix them all up and plant in a window box or tin, and harvest when they are sprouts. That way you get a lovely sprout mix to put on salads. This one is fennel, dill, parsley and basil.
