Environment, public health PhD. I love cities, birds and music. I’m mostly around #yyj biking with my family, caring a lot about housing and the toxic drug crisis, and singing tenor in a choir. Genderqueer. The Olive Ridley is a sea turtle!

These results from a survey of 84,000 trans, nonbinary and gender nonconforming people aged 18 and up shows just what a slam dunk of a success gender affirming care is. There's very little in medical intervention that even comes close to 99% success www.erininthemorning.com/p/largest-tr...

Vancouver at Pandora a couple of days back. They’ll keep doing it without enforcement. I presume the drivers are also pressured to speed up delivery times so I put most of the blame on the corporation here

When you go for your #humblebrag morning run, you occasionally get attacked by cherry blossoms 🌸 #yyj

Lol looks like Facebook messenger has decided to go full in on their owner’s new “masculine energy” Schtick and changed the colour of their icon from that blue pink purple one to this very blue one, sad!

Who decided it was legal to allow light fixtures that have to be tossed when the LED fails?!! What a waste of resources, my time and so much money. These things are 100s of dollars and a bulb or two is nothing. Why? Why? Because capitalism

Talk is free. This man had the most powerful office on earth and did little about the oligarchy. Where was this when inflation was high, where was this when they made zero attempts to change the tax code or regulate the oligarchy. I guess he wants his Eisenhower military industrial complex moment

Interesting. I hope someone steps up because this election isn’t going to be about the NDP filling in the liberal blanks. but when people start writing about economic policy it just becomes word salad, what does any of this even mean?

Turns out our kittens hate surveillance capitalism and are destroying google speakers. This is the second one attacked. They find them the minute the speakers say something or play music, and then just start attacking

You know you’re a textual learner when you realize your hotel coffee machine is not doing what it’s supposed to and you have to essentially text describe each step to realize you’d missed the “turn the pod holder around to lock it” step, very subtle

Great resource from the Nouerons Twit account on country-specific school air quality guidance t.co/rbQS0EL3xH. We don't have ubiquitous waterborne diseases in countries with money because of our clean water infrastructure. We have to expend the same effort on clean indoor air for airborne disease!

Urgh, parked the bike for half an hour in a downtown adjacent church and came back to a missing (very used and beloved) helmet, kids rain boots I was passing to a friend and the spare bike lock (useless without a key). Well, got a new helmet and if you need a key to the lock you took, lmk :)

How's your fall back going? Mine started with "let's make a diamond!" from the kid. 10 minutes later "I've already built 4 rings, a diamond is so strong!" And I have a cup of coffee in hand, all the downstairs clocks have been changed, and it’s only 630!
