An image of 10th/9th millennium BC Göbekli Tepe from the earlier days of the excavations, around 2007, with the central pillars of Building D still mostly covered by sediments. This was a great opportunity to study the reliefs and pillar heads in detail.

Boats are highly important in Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age belief. There are numerous depictions of the sun boat guided by water birds, but this is special: Seven of originally >100 gold foil ships found in 1885 near a grave mound at Nors, Denmark.

The figurines from Early Neolithic Catalhöyük often show women. One famous example is seated on a throne-like stool and accompanied by leopards. The mother goddess? Most Catalhöyük figurines come from domestic contexts. Museum of Anatolian Civilizations Ankara.
