Now that the U.S. has declared war on science (among other things), let’s make Europe a welcoming place for all the smart people over there seeking a new home where they can feel productive, supported, and safe again.

We’ll need them.

90% of GraphQL APIs I encountered so far, imho, are either malformed or their use case doesn’t closely justify the overhead that comes with GraphQL.

I wonder if there is a place in between REST and GraphQL that combines the best of both worlds. Like strong conventions, schemas/typing.

There is no better soundtrack for focus work than the music that plays when you are alone in a Slack huddle waiting for the other person to join. 🙈

I’m currently doing some research on the challenges of managing #autoimmune diseases.

If you’ve been diagnosed with such a condition and have 5 minutes to spare, I’d love to learn from you: fc2s2byuo4f.typeform.com/to/fP3jaF44

Thanks in advance! 🙏

I always sucked at money decisions and building wealth (and still do).

But at least LinkedIn seems pretty convinced that I’m doing exceptionally well. So it lines my feed with endless ads for luxury watches, yacht clubs in the Emirates, private wealth management, and private jet services. 🤪

⚽️ Can you imagine a successful soccer team in which the goalkeeper, defense, midfield, and forward positions all train and play as separate departments, each with its own strategy and goals?

The success of an organization depends heavily on its ability to translate strategic goals into effective actions.

In my recent article series, I discuss tools that help teams do that in a systematic and repeatable way.

Mindset shift:

Every meeting invite you sent out is a sales pitch.

Make sure you offer value people are willing to pay for with their time.

💡 Ideas are great.

But they are not that far island calling from the horizon. Rather they are the first wind that blows your sail.

“Bardeen may look like just another automation tool […]. Yet, it introduces a significant wrinkle: context, meaning it builds automations based on what’s open on your computer screen. It also uses AI to build automations for you…”

Now imagine this with the context being provided by your Vision Pro.
As Apple leans into spatial computing and with recent advancements in #AI, I wonder whether we're on the cusp of the end of the era of apps.

Do devices aware of the user's physical state and environment with learning software capable of inferring context, intent, and expectations still need apps?

People going wild about prompt engineering just reveals how bad we usually are at delegating effectively.

Ultimately, it is all about clearly formulating intent, providing proper context, and making expectations explicit.

Imagine we’d all spend as much thought on how we communicate with coworkers.
