This little opossum was napping in one of the trashcans at the park. She was quite grouchy when I woke her up.

There is an impressive high tide today at the park. The salt marsh is completely flooded.

I had to help these adorable little willet babies find their way back home today. They were resting in the road with their mom desperately tried to get them back into the safety of the tall grass. Unfortunately for me, mom didn't understand that I was trying to help and I had to dodge her swoops.

I see lots of people crabbing at the park everyday and here I have them coming straight to me.

I visited Brazos Bend State Park today and got to see some of the gorgeous reptiles they have in the nature center. In order: prairie kingsnake, Texas rat snake, American alligators, a copperhead and a water moccasin.
