It's almost like the true problem was never economic policy but political authoritarianism.

With his face super red like that except for being pale around the mouth he looks like a weird reverse-clown.

Wasn't sure. Can be hard to tell on the internet after all.

Figured kind of explaining it was better on the chance you honestly didn't know.

I've seen a bit of her stuff, Katy is a LGBT+ advocate and given the videos I have seen of hers are about her advocating for trans rights, I think it's safe to say she was joking.

Not really. Sure it informs their worldview and beliefs but it doesn't change the fact that the US gov't is secular by design. We are not a Christian nation. We are a Secular nation that happens to have a majority of its population made up of Christians.

I don't think that's a particularly different a stance than what I said in my first reply to you. It doesn't matter what their religious beliefs were, or really what anyone else's beliefs were. They created a government that was secular by design.
June 2, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Well that just makes it sound like you were trying to suggest the US hasn't been a secular nation since its founding.

Shocking.
June 2, 2025 at 6:16 PM
I'm pretty sure the people on the right don't need to be terribly concerned since they have majorities in all branches of elected federal gov't atm.

And if you're trying to say I'm misinterpreting you, then please clarify your stance as opposed to just saying, "No U."
June 1, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Oh so you weren't not so subtly pushing back on fact that the US was established as, has been, and should still be a secular state.
June 1, 2025 at 6:11 AM
Hey, if you want to make believe none of the founding fathers were deists and that the establishment clause doesn't say what it does ... well I can't really stop you.
May 31, 2025 at 7:11 PM
Not sure why that would matter even if true.

It's entirely possible to be religious and yet, in an attempt to ensure a nation free from religious persecution, create government divorced from religion. We know that because it's what the founding fathers did.

A family friend worked for Nat'l Geo when I was a kid and gave me a copy for one of my younger birthdays. It was absolutely stunning book. 10/10

That's because the term-limit bit was a state constitutional amendment that took place back in '92. So there's really only been four governors that it impacted so far.

Michigan governors are limited to two terms so she's not eligible for reelection.

So there's this and an asexual awareness week every ... I think it's in October. I mostly know about them because, for the last few years, it's when people come out of the woodwork to shit all over ace folks on Twitter to the point it'd show up over in my "trending" tab.

In the 90s I worked at a place where the managers would just make a pizza for the shift to eat.

More recently I worked somewhere we had to throw out everything because upper management was afraid we'd overbake and give free food to the homeless or eat it ourselves.

That episode was easily the best MTG-themed Wes Anderson homage I've ever seen.

Have you considered, perhaps, having political and societal ideas that people actually like and aren't horrible?
March 22, 2025 at 7:06 PM
London Fogs are delicious and deserve to be more of a "thing".

Oh don't get me wrong, I liked the story. I'm just saying it's a well told story that gets a little overshadowed (rightly so) by the absolutely stunning visuals.

I completely agree with you that The Fall is a stunning work of art. It's not nearly as impressive narratively but that's neither here nor there, people should see it on as large of a screen as they can manage and enjoy the astounding, practical visuals.
