This is one of those games where the story is king followed by the gameplay so I do not think you lose anything from playing the latest version. Also you unlock the extras so late in the WoL version that as much as it sucks, you're not really losing much from not having them.

Wait when people say voice acting, do they mean that the characters recite the spells vocally before casting or just cutscenes?
