bad news - it wasn't initially written, and helm doesn't support blue-green
good news - recreating the 3-node rabbitmq cluster required 15 minutes waiting for the queues to drain and 5 minutes of downtime ... and it was enabled only on single rabbitmq clusters out of 100+

It was the first time in years that I was able to update 50+ k8 clusters via terraform in single run without manually restarting few failed jobs
P.S. #terraform team declined to fix the bug since 2021 and ignored pr 🤷‍♂️
it took years till #opentofu was created and proceeded with the fix 🥰

one is definitely working in international corporation if one subtracts time that light travels for a distance between hosts from latency values to get real latency of network equipment

it still amazes me how wonderful kubernetes and terraform are.
just few changes, commit/merge and 100+ clusters are started updating. 20 minutes waiting of cicd and everything up and running
in old times the same would require 10+ team and weeks
