I’m not agreeing with it, but it makes perfect sense why people didn’t stand up to him. He is a man with zero accountability to anyone, he could shoot a reporter in Air Force One and no one would stop him… literally.

It is because he meant it. We witnessed the president show unbridled disgust and hatred toward a human being, who was simply asking him a question. It is the disgust and dehumanization we saw in WWII movies towards Jews. This is real.
