Memorials to Spring Rice and his widow Anne, at New Inn, Co. Tipperary
October 29, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Both of Lena's parents had passed away before her. Her father first, though the year is illegible, then her mother Anne, widow of Spring Rice. So as to why her mother's name was not recorded on her memorial, I cannot answer. As I said previously the cemetery is tiny.

Ian Barclay Justly Williams, born at Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, played cricket with Ireland and Cahir Park. His memorial at Killaloan graveyard, Clonmel has only latter two names as initials. cricketeuropearchive.com/HISTORY/PLAY...

If I am not mistaken there was a great shop here in the late 80s where you could buy old match programmes, bank notes and various other collectibles.

I can't answer the question about her mother. The cemetery is so tiny, I think there are only a couple of other memorials. I must pop in the next time I'm passing and check.

I agree. Your last few posts have the potential to send me down a rabbit hole, with lots of tunnels. 🐰🕳️🫣
