This painting always reminds me of the first winter I was dating my Duncan, way back in the way-back times.
A street scene, a snowy evening on a narrow street. The street is empty except for a couple of people standing in a little circle of street-lamp light. The taller one in pants is leaning casually against a building, the one with the skirt and long hair is facing him and they are holding hands or shaking hands. It is all in shades of gray and black and white except for the palest yellow of the three street-lights going up the street.
