I need to correct an error. In my post about the McCarthy era, I mistakenly replied with Eugene instead of Joseph McCarthy.

My apologies. Typing too fast and without double checking info from long ago. Critical mistake a historian should never make.

This will be my last post.

The price to be paid to stop what is happening to our country right now will be very high and will require courage. The price to correct things later, will be astronomical and take many years to recover from, if at all.

Disengagement will not make it all go away.

Don Jr.

The only calling you hear is the same one your father did when he screwed his, and your, relatives out of their inheritance.

Do not run for President. You will be humiliated. I'll love watching it. The country is waking up. Dark clouds brewing.

Not that many days till the mid-terms.

Trump promised to protect Medicare — he lied.

The Republican budget bill would explode the deficit by so much that it triggers over $500 billion dollars in cuts to Medicare.

Watch @congressmanboyle.bsky.social lay out the new CBO analysis released only hours ago:

The House Rules Debate post must be sent everywhere!

This plan makes the cuts to Medicare mandatory and not Trumps fault. It will be "The Governments" fault and why they are there to clean things up even though they brought on the trigger on purpose.

Boyle: "This is really the breaking news ... because of the size of the deficits, because of the paygo act, that would trigger sequestration of Medicare, and it would total over $500 billion. The official figure that CBO confirms is $535 billion in cuts to Medicare."

J.D. Vance , you national embarrassment of an American, take the log out of your own eye before you cast aspersions on others.

Climb down off your deluded self-righteous Christian pedestal and try just closing that horror hole you call your mouth. I feel sorry for you. You are truly pathetic.

The orange idiots response to Bruce Springsteen has the tone of Steven Cheung. The orange idiot is not capable of stringing that many clearly thought out, focused, complete sentences together.

Steven, when you look in the mirror at night, do you feel better? Or does the hate still consume you?

Finally, the start of our music industry icons finding their voice and using their art and platform to inform and galvanize a nation looking for the spark needed to rally around. Two thumbs up to Bruce Springsteen! He ain't called "The Boss" for nothing.

The orange morons reaction says everything.

Trump, Bondi and the El Chapo family deal.

Who suggested what? What did we get? What did they get? When we are negotiating with drug lords, I think we are entitled to the details.

The orange moron gets a new plane. U.S. taxpayers pay 375 million dollars to bring it up to required security standards. When he leaves office???, he gets ownership. Great way to upgrade your personal property on the taxpayer's dime.

Just another grift with Qatari strings attached.

Just a follow up.

Roberts comments about schools as the problem with today just pushed my button. I was typing fast trying to get everything out and should have slowed down and fixed the few dropped words as I was typing.

My apologies.

Admitting a mistake. Owning it and correcting it is a sign of wisdom and maturity. Passing a serious Code of Ethics with teeth, would also go a long way to rebuilding any sense of trust we have in your judgement in the future. All this is entirely self-inflicted.

Republicans and the MAGA Fascists. Your Presidential immunity ruling supercharged the threat to all of us.

Look in the mirror budy.

BTW, Past decisions have been reversed. It's not too late for you all to reverse Citizens United and your foolish Presidential Immunity rulings.

If any harm comes to any sitting Judge as a result of them trying to uphold the rule of law, some of you on the Supreme Court will need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

the belief by almost all that no man is above the law makes your complaints about the public perception of the current state of Supreme Courts support of the Judiciary hypocritical.
They find themselves in the position they are as a direct result of your partisan and grifting behavior.

To Justice John Roberts.

Your accusation about "Schools" not teaching about our system of government works is quite precious. While Republicans efforts to cut back on Social Studies classes in the 1990s' through the 2000's has made that more difficult.
Your own recent effort to diminish

To Supreme Court Justice John Roberts;

You can "Revisit" your decision to grant the President immunity while in office. One of the signs of intelligence and maturity is the ability to recognize a mistake, own it and then correct it. You can restore faith in the Constitution with this act.

I've been reading about Jeffersons days before the Revolution and what he faced after.

Just a short historical point. In reading of the political climate in the very late 1700's. The Federalists, MAGA of that time, passed the Alien Act of June 1798. One key component of that act is that the accused can dispute the accusation in court. The 2nd Alien Act of July 1798 was only

The fascists control the Justice Department, FBI, 6 seats on the Supreme Court, The Presidency, V.P and the Speaker of the House. This represents the 2 next in line if Trump is gone. They also control the House of Representatives and the Senate. Due process is ignored. Citizens disappeared.

The focus needs to shift to the Oligarch's and The Heritage Foundation. Trump is their stooge. They will eventually turn on each other. The collateral damage will be all of us.

This is a two-front assault that will need to be met with a massive significant nationwide grassroots two-front reply.
