The problem isn't crooked pols suing the government. The problem is Trump's fully-owned judges and department heads being ordered to approve those suits.

There are certain classes of federal employees whose pay should continue through shutdowns, like congressional pay does. That would include military and all civil service employees who do not control their own rate of pay. It should NOT include any member of Congress or congressional staff.

I think we’ve entered an era where “bad” is subjective. Do you mean what Trump thinks is bad or what Obama would think is bad. We need a tighter, more meaningful bipartisan standard.
