Today's review on #oldpaperandcats is of John Gregory Dunne's Vegas! #booksky #bookreview
I think it’s a pretty common experience to have a dark season. I remember how lost I felt in my twenties, when school was over and everyone started to ask me what was next.

John Gregory Dunne’s Vegas is describing Dunne’s dark season. He’s forty-two and feels unmoored in his career and his life.

@pushkinpress has been publishing a series of delightful Japanese novellas. Someone to Watch Over You is a great piece of pandemic fiction about alienation and connection. Record of a Night Too Brief is a perfect way to introduce yourself to the short fiction of Hiromi Kawakami. #booksky

Today's review is of Perec's The Art of Asking Your Boss for a Raise! It’s best not to come this book thinking that you’re going into a traditional novel. It’s as complex as an Escher drawing, and as funny as an office sitcom.
