Finally sorted this tangle (oops!) to get weaving on my sample loom. The warp is a mix of hand spun hand dyed wool (yellow from weld plants) and mill spun navy lambswool.

Admittedly not the best weather for photos but I wanted to peg out the full length of cloth before cutting it up to wash it. 5m40cm of wool cloth from Cambridgeshire sheep, dyed with Cambridgeshire grown plants. Woven by hand on a human-powered floor loom.

I’ve finally reached the end of this warp!
When it gets to the back of the heddles some of the warp becomes impossible to weave. This is known as loom waste or thrums.
I don’t like waste so save all the thrums and am trying to find creative ways to use them. More on that another day.

I managed to grab an hour or so weaving in the shed today, it made a delightful change for the sun to be streaming in the windows and blue sky all around.
