Rod Stewart didn't leave for California until 77/78 and was 24 in 1970. Given Stewart's life long devotion to black music, Sam Cooke, Bobby Womack, David Ruffin etc, I'm not convinced of the authenticity of this quote. Where's it from? DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ!
