I just read that they are now saying that the father did not place his daughter on the railing and that the investigation is ongoing.

Thankfully they both were rescued!

I read the father had set her on the railing to take her pic resulting in her falling into the ocean. Jumping in to try and save her was less stupid than setting her on the railing which was totally asinine and irresponsible.
