I agree, which is why I posted, on this thread that 900,000 was the peak and we’re down to roughly half that in the latest figures:

I have news for you: telling someone inaccurately what they are supposed to believe, without actually bothering to ask them, is certainly not liberal.
In truth many people on the liberal left disagree with you on this. Many will be shy of saying it, because of the awful blowback that comes.

The crisis is a real one I’m afraid. I’m broadly pro-immigration too and you’re right, birthrate since actually the early 1970s being below replacement means we need it, badly. But it did go haywire due to Boris Johnson and we’re fixing a huge Tory mess now. And we don’t fix it, Farage gets in.
