I always found it kinda interesting that bands from that era were capable of making somewhat inaccessible experimental music and then changed course for straight-up radio pop tunes.

Back in 1997, I left the ticket queue for "Titanic", also leaving my date in the lurch (grossly unforgiveable) because next door was showing the remastered "Battleship Potempkin". I also bailed on that one. It were just movies about boats, I figured.
