Old man trying to be as best a teacher I can be. Hailing from sunny Leicestershire, I'm interested in most things educational. Thinking about what a Democratic education system could look like.
#UKEd. #UKTeaching #PrimaryTeaching
That academia is seen as both the norm and the highest levels or learning achievement makes as much sense as chocolate socks. It's a societal institutional prejudice.

Only one question had been settled. Anyone who thinks otherwise is being a bit hopeful.

I can feel Twitter melting down with Bok fans claiming his innocence, and that it's all a stitch up by WR! But yeah, that needs a proper sanction.

At half time I was 'ah'. At one point I thought it could be the worst loss ever. Even this England supporter doesn't likke seeing Wales like this.

I think tech has a place in education, the mistake is what we always do in state education- we rush, we don't project manage, we look for that silver bullet, and we never, ever properly follow through.

The evidence between tech and improving pupil outcomes is inconclusive at best - even the government's own papers suggest that. Yet here we go ...

1. Silent Lucidity, Queensryche.
2. Nuggets, Gaz Brookfield
3. Rose Tattoo, Dropkick Murphys
4. This Ole Heart of Mine, Isley Brothers
5. We have all the time in the world, Louis Armstrong.

So how does #FridayFive work? Is it a secret message of sorts?
November 22, 2025 at 3:13 PM
It's not much of an argument to be honest. It's not new - it's as old as pre-nations, it's not really dealing with the issue.
November 21, 2025 at 6:52 AM
That's a personal thing to you, and some others, which I respect, but it doesn't answer the question. Patriotism's supposed link to patriarchy is also irrelevant here.
November 21, 2025 at 6:50 AM
But that snippet is more about the scoundrel than patriotism.
November 21, 2025 at 6:18 AM
So what term would you use, or suggest someone uses?
November 21, 2025 at 6:17 AM
Or it's life. Your point has an underlying tone of hypocrisy, and might be because of the inherent bias of your perspective.
November 16, 2025 at 1:51 PM
Another stupid assumption. Added to which, nationalism and patriotism are not just Scottish values, and can be discussed by anyone - well some at least.
November 15, 2025 at 3:20 PM
Maybe you should be less rude and presumptive, and ask questions to clarify? That is, after all, normal dialogue.
November 15, 2025 at 2:58 PM
Another person completely misunderstanding my point, and being derogatory about it. How does your comment show you don't?
November 15, 2025 at 2:45 PM
🤣🤣🤣
November 15, 2025 at 1:59 PM
I never said you hated Labour. And you are still being irrational. It's a shame, because what Scottish independence needs is genuine patriots, not unthinking nationalists.
November 15, 2025 at 10:37 AM
I remember 3 or 4 songs everytime. But it's like a Foo Fighters album - you start to flip through to the songs you want to hear.
November 15, 2025 at 9:45 AM
... and that is irrational, bigoted and always, always leads to oppression. Your hatred betrays you, and you are being dishonest. So, I have no need to defend my position, because you have nothing to counter with.
November 15, 2025 at 8:08 AM
I don't need to defend my view because you haven't presented an attack to defend from. I'll help you. If you had posited that Scotland needs a separate Scottish Labour party, because the UK Labour party has left iy's roots, I could completely accept that. But you made it an isssue of nationalism ...
November 15, 2025 at 8:06 AM
Thank you for proving my point. I don't need to try again.
November 15, 2025 at 7:27 AM
It's a UK party, but you know that. You just want to change it to fit your narrow nationalist rhetoric.
