It's a square, pan baked pizza that's thinner and crispier than Sicilian. If made properly it's very fresh and flavorful without getting soggy.

I played the GBA version to the end. The NES one is kinda abusable in several ways.
But I had played a few SaGa games before this so I knew what I was getting into.

As a game to play in public it's mostly fine. As a novel the subject matter is pretty heavy and relies on scenes of extreme and graphic gendered abuse, both physical and mental. So depends on what your criteria is for an airplane game. Excellent VN though.

Retro chose mechanically to focus from Prime 1 onward on developing more arcane kinds of knobs instead of more intimidating holes. Culminating in Miles McKenzie, clearly the greatest of knobs.

There's definitely a transition around there between the Metroid-like "world is a series of progressively creepier holes to climb out of" to the Zelda-like "world is a progressively complex puzzle box you are rummaging around for knobs to turn"
