Agree with that! They spend half their day with lobbyists and donors. A quarter of the day with constituents and a quarter of the day legislating at best.
That’s the problem with two year terms in the House. They have to start raising money for the next election cycle the second they are elected.

And I question if, (hate to say it), my Senator, Angus King will run for reelection in 2030? He’ll be 86 years old! If reelected he’d be 92 at the end of that term.

Truth! Having a son and daughter in their 30’s I’ve been through all this. I still have pangs of guilt if I recall the handful of times I snapped on them but I love them beyond words and they know it.
