I was born in the late 1950s. I don’t understand the modern demand for happiness. I was taught to survive and be useful. I must have missed the memo about happiness being central to life. I guess I am just damaged emotionally.

It is somewhat humorous that if Jesus walked your streets he would be profiled and harassed because of his brown skin. No, not humorous at all. Just very sad.

One does hope when you have a change of government that obeys the rules of law, that those acts of violence are tracked down and prosecuted. Because as we all know Karma can be a bitch (please excuse the language).

We have solar panels and a battery and it’s incredible to watch on the app the flow of electrons. We go for days without using any electricity from the grid. When I look outside I see so much sunshine and wonder how much energy we are missing out on.

I am not from your country but the desire for power is the same as on this side of the Pacific. That love must be overwhelming for some.

I guess it was better than they had before which was probably nothing. It’s interesting to see how far material science has come in the basic things in the last hundred years.

Because of the age of my bladder and the areas where I ride my motorcycle, I know the locations of every rural town public toilet in southeastern Queensland. I have even developed a scale to rate them in my mind. Motorcycle riding can give you too much time to think sometimes.

Your country’s situation is so very sad. The vast majority of Australians support our gun control laws. We trust our military to keep us as safe as possible for a small nation against aggression.

I can absolutely see a “teacher less” school would be a huge success- just joking. It would be a disaster. Even being old I can still imagine how I would have behaved with no teachers around.
