I have met parents during my time on school board and they are not the best authority on how to educate children.

There are times when parents' input is appropriate. But educators are highly trained professionals who actually know a lot about how to teach 20-30 children. The inference that they are busy indoctrinating children is hugely disrespectful to an honorable profession

Some parents legitimately do not care about their child’s education.

People who either do not work in education or just so enamored in their own political belief think all parents actually give a damn/“knows what’s best” for their kids. Some parents are either lazy or a-holes.
