Trump may do well to re-read his copy of Leviathin, as well as reviewing lessons from his no doubt familiar copy of Rousseau's "On the Social Contract". Perhaps it's been too long since he pulled these tomes from his bookshelf.

I just love this stuff. Even as a humanities major with a fondness for medieval history, I sort of understand it around the edges; at least enough to be grateful that many can actually master such cosmic magic.

A number of years ago a colleague recently arrived from Sri Lanka asked me about any uniquely Canadian celebrations. Best I could come up with is we are the only country on the planet that still celebrates Queen Victoria's birthday. Anyway, happy 205th old girl.
