I owned and loved a Speccy for a decade. I have many fond memories, but if we’re being truthful, there’s no competition. The NES library holds up better.

That said, the UK 8-bit scene was full of wild invention, possibilities for bedroom developers, plus it was cheap and accessible. ❤️
